The 2024-25 Cohort is sold out. Join the waitlist for the 2025-26 Dwellings Cohort.

The 2024-2025 Dwellings Cohort is a 6-month collaborative journey designed to take you deeper in the mission of building communities centered around the presence of Jesus, based on the values of the early church. Along the way, you’ll hear from voices like Todd Proctor, Jennie Allen, Alan Hirsch, David Legge, Kathryn Maack, and many more, at our in-person or interactive virtual gatherings. Whether you are involved in a traditional church, a house church, or in some other ministry context, if you are someone who desires to create community around the presence of Jesus, we want you to apply.

In the Dwellings Cohort:

  • You will connect with a relational network of like-minded pioneers and future friends on a shared journey.

  • You will participate in exercises designed to help you lead your community towards 3 discipleship shifts* (see button below) in a contextualized way.

  • You will be inspired to use your unique giftings as you lead in your community.

  • You will hear case studies of leaders of house church movements, traditional church pastors that have moved toward a more decentralized model with house church DNA, and leaders of other movements that are creatively pioneering communities that invite God’s presence.

*The 3 shifts we are making in our communities are the movement from isolation to family, spectators to participants, and information to transformation.

THREE LIVE GATHERINGS:

  1. Sedalia, Colorado, USA | Lost Valley Ranch | November 5-7, 2025

The Presence of God in My Life We will start off our journey in the middle of the Rocky Mountains, meeting like-minded friends, enjoying great meals, riding horses, and remembering how loved we are by God. This first gathering will help us personally center our lives back on the presence of Jesus. We will introduce the three shifts that we feel God calling us into: isolation to family, information to transformation, and spectators to participants. This gathering will be a pivotal one, as we forge relationships that will be the foundation of the cohort.

  2. London + Oxford, UK | Holy Trinity Brompton | January 20-23, 2026

The Presence of God in the World Small but potent communities have been at the center of new movements in the church and the spark for revivals for centuries. On this trip we will spend time tracing stories of small communities through history, and also learn about some current movements in England that started with a few people seeking for more of Jesus together. We will learn from the crew that pioneered evangelistic communities through Alpha, and our imaginations will be stirred by some non-traditional strategies the traditional church in England is now using to reach their contexts. Finally, we will take a train to Oxford to trace the footsteps of CS Lewis, John Wesley, and George Whitfield, in the places they first built communities that would change the course of history.

  3. Little Rock, Arkansas, USA | Innovation Hub | April 25-26, 2026

The Presence of God in our Communities We will go a step deeper in mapping out our unique plans to center the presence of God in our communities. During this gathering, we will collaborate around innovating for the sake of the Kingdom in ways that are contextual to the communities where we live. We will take time to enjoy Main Street in the Argenta Arts District. If you choose to stay over until Sunday, we will provide you with a host home and you are invited to participate with us in one of our local house churches.

FAQ:

"Dwellings is a place of encouragement, vision, hope and stretching. I met great friends and was reminded of all I love about the global church. I recommend this cohort to all who long to see the church come alive in homes, churches, and cities across the world in a fresh and Spirit filled way"

-Amy Jones | Nottingham, UK

“There are few spaces to dream, lead, and learn together as we seek to explore what might be the next generation of church in the West. The Dwellings Cohort was not just that, but so much more.”

-Nic Othart | Bakersfield, CA

"My heartbeat is church done in smaller, more intimate ways. I loved that Dwellings focuses not only on mission (which so many organizations do) but also on the contemplative and reflective side of our faith."

-Doug Rumbold | Tremont, IL
